Continuing the promise the Pangu team has put on themselves, the Mac version of Pangu8 has been released. After several weeks of Windows only, the team has finally pushed its first Mac version to the public.
The timing couldn’t have been anymore perfect. As iOS 8.1.1 is currently in beta, and is slated for a public release soon. iOS 8.1.1 has already proven to kill several core exploits required for Pangu to run on iOS 8. Not only that, all core Cydia packages have been properly updated for the new iOS versions. So, the jailbreak is much more stable than it’s original release.
Yes, this means Pangu8 is only compatible on iOS 8.0-8.1. It is unknown wether the Pangu team will continue to find exploits and continually update the tool for future updates.
You can pick up a copy of Pangu8 on the Pangu team’s site. Download times might be a bit slow as users and developers alike are trying to get their hands on the utility.
