LivePhotos is a new tweak that acts very similar to that of Articon tweak. LivePhotos adds animation of your photos in camera roll on the Photo app icon.
LivePhotos spice up your home screen by live animations of your Photos and it was inspired by the live titles feature used by Windows phone OS. This tweak is an interesting tool to look at and might work well with the majority of the users out there. From my opinion, it didn’t go well as I did not enjoyed the functionality as it is like exposing your photo album which is why I am using the lock feature at the first place.
For an average user, this tweak is useful as it will allow you to catch a glimpse of your photo album while navigating through your home screen. This tweak offers various features and options that you can configure it via the preference pane installed in your settings menu.
From the preference pane, you can enable or disable the tweak as you demand. You have the options of blurring the slide show animation on the app icons. You can also choose to have the photo app icon appear on the top of the photo slide show (it is like engraving the photo icon on the photo slide show but with transparent icon). Then you have a slider were you can set the speed of the slide show animation.
However, configuring the settings from preference pane seems to happen simultaneously but unfortunately a respring is required to apply the changes; though the tweak itself doesn’t have the respring option or doesn’t ask for a respring.
If you find LivePhotos tweak interesting and want to give it a try, it is available on Cydia for $0.99 and iOS 7 is a requirement. Please leave a comment regarding your experience with this tweak in the comment section below.
