The Safari app normally comes with a Status Bar at the top that provides a great amount of useful information, but also prevents a webpage from appearing in fullscreen. This is why a new jailbreak tweak known as Safari No Bar emerged on Cydia earlier to improve your web browsing experience.
Developed by Adamyaish, the iOS 8 already removes the Status Bar when viewing a webpage in landscape mode, however the tweak also ports this extension to the Portrait mode as well.
So once you install this tweak, all you’ll see in the stock Safari app is the URL bar and the search that appears at the top. Both of which will disappear as you scroll down a page giving making a webpage appear fullscreen. With that said, the tweak comes with zero configuration to make so once you install it, you’re good to go.
While the tweak might appeal to some users, it can be quite annoying as it removes the Status Bar which provides a great deal of information such as the time, battery level, WiFi signal and much more.
Yet, if you’re interested to take this tweak for a rid and remove the Status Bar from the stock Safari app, go to Cydia now and download Safari No Bar for free of charge.
