A new report claims Apple may be considering revamping the 4-inch iPhone lineup in 2015. In a note to investors (via AppleInsider), analyst Timothy Arcuri of Cowen and Company said Apple may be releasing three new iPhones in the upcoming year.
Arcuri says the “iPhone 6 mini” will most likely feature specs similar to the iPhone 5s, with sources from Asian supply chains. The phone may also borrow design cues and sport hardware advancements now included in the iPhone 6.
Take this report with a grain of salt as Arcuri has a pretty mixed track record with providing Apple intel. Though a 4-inch iPhone wouldn’t be too far off.
The majority of handset manufacturers have completely abandoned the smaller screen sizes. So, if Apple is planning to keep the 4-inch iPhone around they could. There’s no competition in that area. Also, it will bring back the one-handed use that iPhone users have come to love.
