We all enjoy products of ways to simplify life. Today we have put together a post which shares some great ways to do just that. These are commonly referred to as “Life Hacks.” We have researched high and low to find the tent most useful life hacks tech and iOS related in 2017. These are based primarily around the iOS devices meaning the iPhone, iPad, and iPod. Although, many if not all these can be used for Android phones too.
- We all know how poor quality the speakers are on the iPhone. However, this was address by Apple in the iPhone 7|7+ but still, we all need louder music at times. In general, smartphone speakers aren’t very powerful, to say the least. Especially, when you are trying to play music loud enough for a crowd of people.
How To Amplify iPhone Speaker Sound
This may not be as difficult as you may think to accomplish. Take any plastic cup and cut a hole around the bottom end of the cup about 1/4 the size of the cup and around one inch tall. One of the best ways to get the most sound is through a Pringles potato chip can. This way you can put the iPhone in the center and cut holes on each end for the sound to escape creating much more bass plus great amplification of the sound overall.
Anyway, using a plastic cup: Cut a hole in the bottom so the sound can escape but be careful not to cut away too much making the cup too weak to stand with the iPhone inside. Check out the photos below. This will amplify the music much louder and everyone will be able to hear now using this hack. It takes only a couple minutes to setup and cost the price of one plastic cup.
If you don’t have scissors just sit the iPhone into the cup. This will improve the sound much better itself. Users can get really creative with this hack if they want to take the time and effort.

3. Prevent USB iPhone Charger End from Breaking or Fraying
We can all agree this is definitely a problem I’m certain. It’s really very simple to fix. Take the spring from the end of an ink pen. Attach the spring to the end of the charger wrapping the wire around and through the spring. You may need to pull the spring apart just a small bit to start the process. This will help prevent the wire from bending to the point of breaking over time. This should be done before the wires start to break and wire.
There’s another way to fix this problem if you have a rubber glue you can mold called Sugru. This can be purchased at most big box stores such as Lowes or Home Depot. This is a type of glue users can mold around the object but it hardens just enough to feel rubberized and flexible. Sugru adds great support at the end of the charging cable to prevent the wires inside from breaking over a longer period of time. It usually takes overnight for the glue to reach the desired hardness and flexibility. Hack Hint: Wrap the glue around the end of the USB charging cable in the same manner as you did the ink pen spring earlier.
4. Organize Desk Wires and Chargers
Use a binder clip to organize the chargers and other wires on your desk. Take a really large clamp or binder clip and clamp at the end of your desk. However, before clamping the binder clip to its permanent location thread the charger cable through the end of the binder clips. This will prevent you from having to crawl under your desk each time you loose a charging cable end or other wire you need. These can even be labeled by wrapping different colors of tapes around different wires so you recognize which cable goes to which item at a glance. Sounds very promising right and it’s so helpful being organized properly. It has made my life so much easier and I know it will do the same for yours.
How To Organize Cables on Laptop
Using these binder clips makes it really easy to move them too. I have been using this method for my laptop cables too. Instead of clamping them to a table I just clamp them to the laptop charger cables. It really helps keep you organized and out of the floor crawling around to find a cable end.
5. Use Binder Clips for iPhone Stand
Use a larger size binder clip for an iPhone stand. Regardless of the position you prefer portrait or landscape, just clip binder clips together to the desired length. This can be used to achieve both landscape and portrait positions with ease. The iPhone will site in either position with no problems.

Plus in the lightning charging cable to the device you wish to charge. Plus the other cable into the device with more battery power you wish to charge from. Connect the two cables and magically charging. No need for electricity or heavy charging banks to power back your iPhone or gadgets.
