Google Photo Spere Camera
Google released a new app a couple days ago called Photo Sphere Camera. The app offers a special camera which allows the user to capture 360 degree images. That means everything in front, back, above, and below you all in one photo stitched together. That;s exactly how the application works too, it stitches all the different photos you capture together into one giant 360 degree photo. It’s truly amazing just how great of a job this application can perform.
Photo Sphere Camera App Takes 360 Degree Photos
The app does require an iPhone 4S or higher so all you iPhone 4 users and older and just SOL. Users can publish their 360 degree photo to Google maps for everyone to see. If you prefer more of the private approach you do not have to share or add your images to the Google Maps. However, this would be nice to look back on in a few years to see where you was at the time of the photo and so on. Anyway, thats totally left up to the individual.
How to use Photo Sphere Camera App
Open the application and point it in the direction you wish to photograph. There will be a square with an orange dot in the center.
Line up the dot in the center of the circle and it will capture the photo once its lined hop correctly. Do this as you turn 360 degrees.
You will need to capture a few shots above and below you as well.
The ring around the camera button will begin to outline the button the closer you get to having all the photos needed to complete the 360 degree photograph.
After you have all the photos needed you can touch the camera button to end the photo taking and begin the stitching of the photos. This process can take several minutes once you begin.
Watch our hands on review as we take our 360 degree photo outside our home. Although it’s not a perfect photograph you can see the way it works. They recommend to use it out side for the best results. As you can see in our final photograph the electric lines didn’t line up exactly rift. However, the landscape part of the photo looks phenomenal. The software used to stitch these photos together is just simply amazing to me. Hope you enjoyed the video. Please hit that thumbs up and subscribe before leaving.
