The iPad 2 is the best tablet on the market for many reasons. This of course, is only my opinion. But there are many others that will feel the same way as I do. However, even though the iPad is a great tablet I think many of the users have wanted to be able to use Windows or a Mac operating system directly on the iPad fluidly. I am not referring to remote the in seat. We have all seen the videos and the ability of that application which is very limited to say the least.
On live desktop is a company releasing an application on January 12, 2012. This application will be able to run Windows 7 desktop on an iPad to including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. The online buyout will be available free on Thursday, January 12, 2012. The online Pro application will not be available on Teal some time afterwards. The Pro version will also require users to subscribe to a nine dollar and 99 monthly fee. The Pro version will come with 50 GB of storage space whereas the free version has only 2 GB of storage for users.
On live claims that the Can run on Windows even on a slow broadband connection. I am very interested in seeing this firsthand for myself. This would be a phenomenal breakthrough for the tablet developers off the Apple community. I think personally if an application like this where to exist it would persuade many users that feel obligated to the Windows community to purchase an iPad to. I have included many of the features below.
Onlive App Features
– -Be Able to Recognize Handwriting
– -Be able to edit complex documents on the ipad as if it were being done on the PC
– Allows fluid running of rich media for video, animation, games and more.
– Supports touch access and stylus
– Flash Support(Wow we all want this)
– OnLive Desktop Pro monthly $9.99 subscription will allow 50GB of storage. While the free version will provide 2 GB and be available on Thursday. The Pro version release date hasn’t been set as of yet.
– OnLive Desktop app promises to offer accessibility to a highly secure, reliable and high-performance PC desktop in the cloud.
This will be awesome on many accounts. I look forward to trying this myself. I will post a video review when available.
