iPhone Photography

I think many users have upgrading to the new iPhone 4S for the camera and HD video ability. Since I have been using the iPhone 4S I have taking more photos. I have to say that the iPhone 4S camera is phenomenal. The video is 1080 P quality and it is phenomenal also. Since the iPhone 4S has such a great camera I think it’s only logical that a consumer would want to use it to take more video or photos.

There are many different types of accessories on the market for the iPhone 4S. I am going to discuss a few of the accessories used for video and photos in iphone photography. Many companies seem to be missing the concept completely. I have seen many products that were nothing more than just a piece of plastic with a nut to attach the iPhone to the tripod. I am not knocking simplicity by any means. I just think a bit more thought could have gone into inventing a product.

The first product I want to talk about comes from the company called YOUBIQ at www.youbiq.com. They have a tripod have a tripod time adapters for the iPhone 4s. It includes a case for the iPhone for AES. The case does offer a bit of protection for the iPhone. It does not offer any protection against and drop. The case is very simple and easy to install. After installing the case the adapter simply slides into one side of the case to attach the two together. The tripod is made up of two battle latex and one large plastic lid. The plastic part can be used as a platform to rest the iPhone should you want to use the iPhone tripod for viewing a movie for video. The gamble is very compact. Have IT does not include any type of I carrying case the product would be in much better had it, with its own carrying case.

The next iphone tripod I will discuss is from G-Designs.  This holder is very simple and basic.  It is a simple mold to hold the iphone 4 in place while taking photo/video.  The iphone tripod by G-Designs cannot be used with any type of case or protective film.  The iphone fits very snug inside the holder.  Should there be any type of screen protector on the iphone it wouldn’t have enough room to slide into place.  The tripod holder is very inexpensive at $9.95.  It can be purchased online at www.iphone-tripodholder.com.

The next tripod has been referred to as being a very ugly and simple holder.  I must agree it is simple and a bit ugly.  But if it gets the job done what it matters.  I know several ugly people who are very smart and do great things.  So I “try” not to judge by physical appearance alone.  Gary Fong is very well known for photography.  He has been a featured speaker all over for speaking about photography and the how to of photography.  He is a very great photographer.  He has many inventions and products in the photography field.  The tripod adapter for the iphone is very basic.  Just simply slide the iphone into the adapter and the adapter attaches to any tripod for use.  It’s a very inexpensive and fast way to attach the iphone to the tripod.  However, it cannot be used with a case.  This seems to be a problem with most holders on the market.  I think most people are like me and use a case for protection.  I know I don’t want to have to take my case off my iphone to attach it to my tripod.  I want that added comfort of it being protected while I am taking video or photos too.  The Gary Fong tripod holder can be purchased for $19.95 at www.garyfongestore.com.  The iphone holder can be used with a flip cage for taking photo/video.  This will allow the user to set the flip cage on a desktop to take better photos.
