I’ve got a good and bad news for you folks. The good news is that the long awaited tweak IntelliScreenX has finally been updated to support iOS 7 interface and the ARM64 bit processor. Those of you who previously owned this tweak know how it works and what it does and those who are knew to this tweak, well they need to keep reading and find out the awesome features it offers. As a matter of fact, those who owned IntelliScreenX 6 can upgrade it to IntelliScreenX 7 for free. A fee of $4.99 is for users who own IntelliScreenX and $7.99 for users owning IntelliScreen. Users who are new to this tweak are required to pay $9.99 before they can install it. Now lets get down to the features it offers. I’ll keep the bad news for the end, don’t panic.
IntelliScreenX (ISX) has been around the jailbreak community for few years and has been improving ever since it has been released. Those who have experienced prior versions of ISX then ISX 7 will be very familiar to you. ISX 7 is basically a notification center and lockscreen tweak that adds useful features to it. It allows you to have access to Twitter, Mails, RSS, FaceBook, and more. It is basically a central hub to all your sharing information and goes beyond passive interaction.
Installing the tweak will add two preference pane in your Settings Menu. These panes are related on modifying the pages on notification center and lockscreen. You can select the applications to be displayed in notification center and lockscreen, set the time for lockscreen dim, set time for refreshing the information displayed, and lockscreen blur and tint settings.
As with the previous message, it also includes the Message+ tweak for free. Message+ is a standalone tweak that allows you to make a quick reply for incoming message and compose a new message anywhere for your iDevice. Composing a new message can be done in three ways: tapping the button in the bottom left hand corner in notification center or lockscreen or using an activator gesture for it.
What makes ISX 7 different from the previous version is the addition of a new feature known as Slide. It is a built-in app that acts as a app switcher and allows you to multitask using gesture. You can add a gesture to launch this app and in doing so will display a vertical slide side bar showing the activated and launched apps. Sliding those icons will display preview of the app.
The flagship feature of this tweak is the display of your mail, twitter, Fb, rss and more on the notification center. Tabs are added to notification center for each of these sharing information apps respectively. You can for instance view you twitter account and view the currently uploaded tweets by your friends and you can also send new tweets directly from your notification center or lockscreen. The same is applicable for mail and facebook. This tweak is really mind blowing and there are some features that you really like and enjoy it. Therefore I really recommend you to try this tweak as it makes your work much easier.
And for the bad news, since this tweak has been created from scratch thanks to iOS 7 interface and the 64 bit processor there are some bugs and glitches that needs to be fixed. So you should be expecting some crash or you can find some features not working properly as they should but keep in mind, the community is working very hard to solve these issues and to assure that you will have a pleasant experience.
