pickWeb offers users an indexed list of the top web sites divided into different categories based on subject and location. It makes surfing the top websites much more enjoyable without having to wade through the thousands of sites plus all the advertising. It’s straight to the site without any distractions to bother you. Users can download the app to their iOS devices, register, and begin enjoying the simplicity of pickWeb. Registering only takes a minute by entering your email, password, and location.
Users can choose the category they wish to look for something and select a sub category from the main category to narrow the selection or search. It really makes finding a specific item so much faster its no comparison. pickWeb makes using a web browser almost obsolete. The categories are so well laid out and easy to navigate. Users will save time by just using pickWeb for their surfing throughout the day.
Users can add favorites to the app for sites they wish to visit often. Simply tap the links button at the bottom of the screen to be taken to a page divided into many different sections which resemble buttons. It’s even possible to visit your favorite Youtube video inside pickWeb. Users can jump directly into many different categories such as most visited, weather, social networks, and many more.
One thing I saw that needed more work was how the sites were in desktop version rather than mobile versions after a choice was made inside the application. The application needs to be made more mobile friendly overall and adjusted so every page will fit the mobile devices screen. Once a few small details are ironed out with pickWeb it will be a very effective way to navigate the web on a daily basis. Another problem I saw was they show a Mac OS version on the web site but don’t offer a version for Mac users. This definitely needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Being a Mac user I found it difficult trying to use the mobile app because there was no way to sync up my desktop version and vice versa.
Overall, pickWeb has some great ways to surf the internet. However, I feel it needs a bit more work before users can truly use it across different platforms both mobile and desktop. Please take a moment and give us your thoughts. Please share this with all your social media.
