Ever since it was first announced to the public in October, much excitement has been shed for the Apple Watch. Considering Apple was conservative about releasing pricing and availability information, lots of rumors were listened to and perceived as how the Apple Watch would be released. While some of these seemed real, there were others that were far-fetched and too good to be true.
Thankfully, Apple has put a stop to the rumors. After choosing today to finally announce the availability and pricing of the Apple Watch, interested individuals can be patient and look forward to the release of the device. As announced in their Apple Spring Forward event today, the Apple Watch will finally be available in select countries starting Friday, April 24, 2015. The countries included in this release date are the US, UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, China, and Japan. Now that the release date has been announced, it won’t be long before people start planning their next trip to the Apple Store so they can stand in line to purchase the Apple Watch.
Apart from the April 24 availability in stores, the Apple Watch can be pre-ordered from the website. After pre-ordering, the Apple Watch may be tried on at different retail stores. The prices for the Apple Watch start at $349 (Apple Watch Sport), $549 (Apple Watch regular), and as high as $10,000 for the Apple Watch 18-Karat Gold edition. Each option comes in either 38mm or 42mm sizes, which the customer can easily choose from. With these options, interested customers can customize how well they wear their watch depending on their preference and lifestyle. Not to mention, depending on their budget as well.
Now that the announcement for the availability of the Apple Watch has been given, it is exciting to see what different apps can be used for the device.
